Lucy’s passion for retail and commerce began 20 years ago and has spanned across all sectors of this industry from mass retail to boutique to ecommerce, where she has been for past 12yrs since it’s emergence. Most recently, Lucy established eBay’s Thought Leadership practice to drive insights and strategies for it’s enterprise arm and is the catalyst for it’s retail strategy. She chairs the Executive Advisory Board with members including global retailers including Ralph Lauren, Toys R Us, Palacio De Hierro amongst others. Prior to this, she led Insights & Innovation for eBay Enterprise bringing global retailers and development teams across eBay Inc. together to design new retail playbooks.
She’s responsible for architecting innovations in the physical space, such as Rebecca Minkoff’s Connected Store in New York and San Francisco, Kate Spade’s Shoppable Windows and Westfield Malls Interactive walls. She led the establishment of eBay Inc’s Retail Innovations Center.
Lucy joined eBay as part of the acquisition of GSI Commerce, where she led growth programs in strategic areas such as b2b, build out of fulfillment centers and marketplaces. Lucy was a founding member of Ashford.com which was acquired by GSI Commerce in 2001.
ashford.com was the first luxury etailer established in the US in 1998. She ventured into the retail world last century with Marshall Field’s and Macy’s in Chicago IL. Scontinued building her retail merchandising experience with BLT fashion boutiques, franchise owners of all US based MaxMara, Versace, Dolce & Gabanna and Sergio Rossi boutiques.
